Training for engineers in Strasbourg, France, 6-14 December 2018

Engineers have completed a course from Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics in Strasbourg, France. Engineers from Dubai, Norway, Libya, Great Britain, France and Italy came to the training in immunohematology – OrthoVisionAnalyzer.

At the training, 3 modern analyzers have been studied: an automatic immunohematology analyzer, an automated immunohematology repeated access analyzer AutoVue Innova/Ultra, a manual system for studies in immunohematology.

The automatic immunohematological repeated access analyzer is designed to perform daily operations for blood serogroups.

The analyzer is designed for operations in medium immunohematological laboratories of hospitals and blood transfusion centers. Column agglutination technology using ORTHO BioVue glass microspheres is used to standardize research for more than 20 years. ORTHO BioVue cassettes consist of six columns filled with a potentiator and/or reagents and glass microspheres acting as a filter.

The AutoVue Innova/Ultra automatic immunohematological repeated access analyzer is designed for daily operations in blood serogroups. This device can process up to 42 tubes for simultaneous typing of a blood group with secondary/reverse serum control, determination of blood groups by Rh factor, phenotyping, antibody testing and identification, as well as cross-test for blood compatibility (donor – patient). The analyzer is designed for medium immunohematological laboratories of hospitals and blood transfusion centers.

The manual system for immunohematological research uses reliable ORTO BioVue technology. The integration of the incubator and heating unit allows significant optimizing the research process, reducing the number of necessary actions, and using a minimum of space. Audible and visual signals of the process indicator and errors make working with the system intuitive. Compact equipment is easy to move. Workstation has been honored with Earthwards Green Products Award.

This device makes possible the simultaneous blood groups typing with secondary/reverse control of serum, determination of blood groups by Rh factor, phenotyping, antibody testing and identification, and a cross-test for blood compatibility (donor – patient). The analyzer is designed for small immunohematological laboratories in hospitals and blood transfusion centers.
